Russian UN envoy presents history of Ukrainian ideology of violence

June 22, 2022 (EIRNS) — Yesterday the UN Security Council met to discuss “Maintenance of Peace and Security of Ukraine”. Permanent Representative of Russia to Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia took the opportunity to present a story of the violent ideology behind Ukrainian “nationalism” that the council’s transatlantic faction probably didn’t want to hear. “The ideology of violence and hatred, among other things towards one’s own people, is at the heart of current Ukrainian state policy,” Nebenzia said. “This ideology has provoked atrocious crimes by the kyiv regime against its own people which have become one of the main reasons for the current crisis in Ukraine.”

Among the figures that Nebenzia cited as being behind the kyiv regime’s ideology was Dmytro Dontsov. Dontsov “proposed a theory of integral nationalism which he had borrowed from a Frenchman called Charles Maurras,” Nebenzia continued. Maurras played a crucial role in setting up the conditions in the 1930s that led to France’s collapse in the face of the Nazi onslaught in May–June 1940. the ideology of hatred. He advocates a sectarian society, promotes immoral means of achieving his goals, welcomes cruelty, suggests imposing the will of an active minority on a gregarious majority, promulgates the superiority of the Ukrainian race. All of this envisions hatred of Russians and Russia as a “kingdom of darkness”. ”

Nebenzia accused that weapons supplied by the United States and NATO were now being used in this genocide in Donbass. “Last week alone, 6 people were killed and more than 30 injured by strikes against Donbass launched with European and American weapons,” he said. Nebenzia had listed USA, Canada, Britain, Germany, France, Poland, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Finland, the Czech Republic, Sweden and the Baltic States, in as a country that delivered arms to the kyiv regime. He accused each of these states “of being directly responsible for the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis, the deaths of civilians, as well as the Ukrainian military personnel whom the corrupt Ukrainian leadership pushes to the front line like cannon fodder”. .

“No matter how hard you try, you can only prolong the agony of the Russophobic neo-Nazi regime in kyiv, but never stop it,” Nebenzia concluded. “The regime was doomed in 2014, when it waged a criminal war against its own people. Millions of Ukrainians are waiting to be absolved of this, which we can deduce from people’s attitude towards Russian troops in the liberated territories. Our special military operation will be carried out and all of its objectives will be achieved.

Dontsov’s fascist ideology is covered extensively in the April 29, 2022 issue of EIR.
